Online Enduring Material Programs

An Enduring Material is a non-live continuing medical education (CME) activity that endures, or lasts, over time. These include print, audio, video and Internet materials, such as monographs, podcasts, CD- ROMs, DVDs, archived webinars, as well as other web-based activities.

When using an Enduring Material, the learning experience for the participant does not have a specific time or location, in contrast with the learning at a live CME activity that takes place at one time and in one place. The participant determines where and when to complete the activity, which allows learners at institutions and associations who are not able to attend live or pre-scheduled events to complete the educational activity.

The developed educational content (video, audio, slide presentations, etc.) is published to a selected Content Delivery Network (CDN) to be accessed only through our customized learning management system website developed for these programs. It is important to note the CDN is employed to enhance the learner experience but is done so in a manner that is seamless to the learner. Additionally, the CDN is employed to ensure seamless, no-lag playback of the content. This allows for playback on desktop and mobile devices, alike.

Online enduring material educational program formats include, but are not limited to:

  • High Definition Video content
  • “Flipped Classroom” where the content is provided in advance and then the learning concepts are applied in a session lead by a thought leader
  • Slides synched with the audio content provided by a thought leader. We augment this with branched learning points in the presentation to reinforce critical learning points.
  • Multimedia content provided via Flipbook/eMagazine technology
  • Custom Patient Simulations built on the Body Interact platform
